On August 1, 2005, Mickey Mouse will visit the big city. The Walt Disney Company will conclude "Celebrate Mickey: 75 InspEARations," the celebration of Mickey Mouse's 75th anniversary with a visit to World of Disney® - Fifth Avenue in New York City. 75 uniquely designed statues of Mickey have toured the country since Mickey's 75th anniversary on November 18, 2003. Each statue, individually-decorated by notable Disney legends, artists, actors, musicians or athletes, is six feet-tall and weighs more than 700 pounds.

To celebrate the arrival of several statues to the World of Disney® - Fifth Avenue location, six commemorative Limited Edition pins will be released on August 1. Each pin will have an edition size of 500 and will retail for $8.95 each (plus tax). The pins will feature the Mickey Mouse statues created by the following individuals:

"Mickey: In Yellow" by Rosie O'Donnell
"Funny Bones" by James Gandolfini
"Mousetaccioli" by Doris Roberts
"Ready For Action" by Christy Carlson Romano
"Clouded Conscience" by Raven
"The Original Mouse Pad" by Jamie Lee Curtis

Statues decorated by Ben Affleck, Ellen DeGeneres, Annette Funicello, Tom Hanks and Elton John will be auctioned off this fall at Sotheby's in New York. The September 27, 2005 event is expected to help raise more than $1 million for charities. Auction proceeds will benefit 50 deserving charities, designated by the artist of each statue. Much of the proceeds, however, will be donated to the Make-a-Wish Foundation of America.
