Wild About Safety

|
Continuing its long tradition of Safety leadership,
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts launched the Wild About Safety campaign
on May 22, 2003 with a press and media event. This entertaining educational
program that uses two of Disney's most popular characters -- Timon and
Pumbaa from The Lion King -- to teach Guests about Resort safety in
a fun and uniquely Disney way. As the official campaign "spokescharacters,"
everyone's favorite meerkat and warthog team up to demonstrate the consequences
of unsafe behavior in a series of funny illustrations now appearing
in activity books and other Guest materials at both the Disneyland and
Walt Disney World Resorts.
This is the logo pin that goes with the series of 12 pins, but it is NOT considered part of the "lanyard" set. It matches the medallion on the lanyards given to the press attending the event today. The 12 pins are not square like in the photos below, as those are of the cards that go along with the pins. The pins have an "outline" type shape to them, and each is unique. These pins were spotted today at Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort!! The Wild about Safety logo pin is NOT limited. The pin will be available on Cast Member lanyards for the duration of the awareness program. Also, both the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort have the same pins and there isn't a difference from one Resort to the other. |

Over the next 6 months, and starting soon, two pins
will be released each month. Pins will have each of the 12 messages
below and will be available only through trading with a Cast Member.
Many thanks to Cassie, Laurie
and Dennis!!
