Walt Disney Originals Collection - Plane Crazy This Limited Edition pin celebrates the animated short, "Plane Crazy." While "Steamboat Willie" was the first Mickey Mouse cartoon released with synchronized sound, it was not the first one made. "Plane Crazy" was first, but was the third one released after sound was added in 1928. This pin is hinged and features a pin-on-pin vintage Mickey Mouse on the cover. When opened, an image of Mickey and Minnie flying in an airplane and kissing. A photo of Walt Disney is also seen. This pin is #1 from a collection of 12 pins. Walt Disney Originals Collection - The Alice Comedies This Limited Edition pin celebrates the collection of animated shorts, "The Alice Comedies." Between 1924 and 1927, Walt Disney produced a series of 56 silent cartoons featuring a live girl acting in Cartoonland. These shorts were Walt Disney's first attempt at combining live action with animation. This spinner pin features an image of Walt Disney and the title image for "The Alice Comedies." Walt Disney Originals Collection - The Multiplane Camera This Limited Edition pin celebrates the Multiplane Camera. The invention of Disney staff members, the Multiplane Camera gave depth to an animated film by using layers of backgrounds painted on glass. This camera was first used in the 1937 animated short "The Old Mill." This pin features Mickey Mouse leaning on the shoulder of Walt Disney. Walt Disney Originals Collection - Walt Disney's The Enchanted Tiki Room This Limited Edition pin celebrates Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. This Adventureland® Attraction opened on June 23, 1963 at Disneyland® park. It was the first attraction to feature sophisticated Audio-Animatronic® Figures. This Limited Edition pin features Jose, one of the Enchanted Tiki Room birds, and Walt Disney pictured in a pin-on-pin Enchanted Tiki Room hut. As Walt Disney "wakes up" Jose, the bird moves from side to side. The Enchanted Tiki Room hut is made of PVC. This pin was designed by Disney Design Group Artist Glenn Winters. Walt Disney Originals Collection - "Flowers and Trees" This Limited Edition pin celebrates animated short, "Flowers and Trees." Originally begun as a black and white cartoon, this Silly Symphony cartoon was finished in color at Walt Disney's insistence. He believed color would greatly enhance animation. The first animated short in color was released on July 30, 1932. This pin features an image of Walt Disney with a scene from "Flowers and Trees." This image is hinged with the cover in black and white. When opened, the pin reveals the same scene in full color. Glenn Winters from Disney Design Group created the artwork for this pin. The Tomorrowland® attraction first opened at the Disneyland® Park on June 14, 1959. It was the first daily operating monorail in the country.
