The Hidden Disney Collection 2006
|

Walt Disney World® Resort is a contiguous 47-square-mile, world-class entertainment and recreation center featuring four theme parks, 32 resort hotels, 99 holes of golf, an entertainment-shopping-dining complex and much more. Since October 1, 1971, the Disney Vacation Kingdom has thrilled Guests of all ages by offering magical experiences unmatched throughout the world. With so much to see and do, the Walt Disney Parks & Resorts Pin Team was inspired to create a new Limited Edition pin collection titled "Hidden Disney." This collection celebrates the unique experiences, locations and "Hidden Mickeys" found at the Walt Disney World® Resort. "I first joined the Walt Disney World® Cast in 1979," said John Smith, Product Developer for Disney Pin Trading. "Throughout the years, many Guests have shared with me their favorite places or things to see at [Walt Disney World® Resort]. This pin collection celebrates those special places, attractions and experiences that Guests, including myself, have grown to love." A new pin will be released on the 8th day of each month throughout 2006. The pins will have an edition size of 2500 each, and will be packaged on specially designed backer cards featuring trivia about that particular "Hidden" selection. Hidden Disney 2006 Collection For years, the Electrical Water Pageant has sailed each evening on the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake. This show debuted on October 24, 1971, and was the forerunner to the Main Street Electrical Parade. Flounder from Disney's The Little Mermaid is featured as a pin-on-pin next to the glow-in-the-dark Octopus parade float. This is the first pin in the Hidden Disney 2006 Collection. |
