This Summer, let Mickey's Pin Odyssey be your passport to adventure. With map in hand Mickey and his friends will share in the fun as they explore, discover and experience the Disneyland® Resort, "where adventure comes to life." Taking place June 20 through August 10, this special promotion will feature a specially designed lanyard starter set, open and limited edition pins and accessories. In addition, as part of the celebration there will be special Pin Trading Board Carts - one in Disneyland® park, one in Disney's California Adventure® park and one in Downtown Disney® District that will allow you to add to your own Disney pin trading collection.

Pin Trading Board Carts

Guests will find some of their pin collection dreams come true at our Pin Trading Board Carts. The "Trading Boards" will be open for a limited time each day at the following locations*:

Frontierland (near Westward Ho Trading Co.) in Disneyland® park - 10 AM to 2 PM
Golden State (near P.T. Flea Market) in Disney's California Adventure® park - 2 PM to 6 PM
Disney's Pin Traders in the Downtown Disney® District - 6 PM to 10 PM

TRADING BOARD CART GUIDELINES

Guest may Trade up to TWO (2) pins in 30 seconds.

Guests wishing to trade as a Group may still only Trade up to TWO (2) pins in 30 seconds.
The DLR asks that you please refrain from touching the "Pin Trading Board", the "Pins" located on the board or the "boxes."
To provide fairness, Guests will not be allowed the opportunity to view the back of the pin(s) on the "Pin Trading Board" or within the Treasure Chests prior to making the trade.
The DLR asks that you please allow the Cast Member to conduct the trade from the board for you.
Duplicate pins will be allowed on the board; however, only one duplicate pin may be traded per Guest/Group.
Random "Treasure Chests" will contain a special "Travel Stamp" pin.
Only cloisonné or hard enamel pins will be accepted for trade.
Please present your pins to the Cast Member prior to trading.
Holding a place in line for yourself or others in any fashion is not allowed. All persons must be present in line to be allowed to trade. Pin trading is a privilege, not a right, and we ask that you be courteous to those around you.

In a few months, the Disneyland® Resort will host Disney's Summer Pin Festival 2008 - Mickey's Pin Odyssey. This summer-long festival will feature a specially designed collection of pins as well as unique trading opportunities throughout the entire Resort. To kick off this year's Summer Pin Festival - Mickey's Pin Odyssey, the DLR will host a special pin trading area and signing opportunity on Saturday, June 21, 2008 only.

If you're new to these parts meet your Friends at the Ranch where the DLR Pin Trading Team will explain how Pin Tradin' is as easy as 1-2-3. And learn how you can become involved in this very engaging interactive Disney activity. It's amazing what fun you can have as you participate in pin trading, the new friendships that are to be had and just the thrill of the hunt while adding to your collection. The Big Thunder Ranch area will be utilized as a trading area for novice pin traders wishing to learn more about Disney Pin Trading, pin collecting and what Mickey's Pin Odyssey is all about. The Mickey's Pin Odyssey Trading area will also include a Mickey's Pin Odyssey Product Showcase, Junior Pin Trading Corral (Ages 5 - 12), and Pin Information sessions on How to Get Started!

Mickey's Pin Odyssey Product Information

Booster Pack, plus Gift with Purchase

The booster pack will be available at select store locations throughout the Disneyland® Resort and will be offered for $19.95, plus tax. The booster pack features four pins which depict shadow-like icons from the Mickey's Pin Odyssey logo, including Tinker Bell, Sleeping Beauty Castle, a Clapboard, and Grizzly Peak. Guests who purchase the Mickey's Pin Odyssey booster pack will receive a miniature pin trading bag themed to Mickey's Pin Odyssey, as a special gift with purchase.



Starter Set

The starter set is a great way to start your Disney Pin Trading experience. This lanyard starter set will be available at select store locations throughout the Disneyland® Resort and will be offered for $22.95, plus tax. The starter set will include pins designed specifically for the celebration, featuring Mickey Mouse as he stands with his Pin Odyssey map in hand, and another as he sets out for adventure. Each pin will also showcase a different Resort icon. (These pins will only be available as part of the lanyard set). Available while supplies last.



Open Edition Pins

To kick-off the celebration on June 20, 2008, open edition pins themed to Mickey's Pin Odyssey will be released. Retails will vary. In addition, be on the lookout for the Mickey's Pin Odyssey logo pin, which will be offered for $8.95, plus tax. All of these pins and more will be available at pin purchasing locations throughout the Resort. Pin purchasing limits apply.



Limited Edition Pins

Limited edition "Mickey's Pin Odyssey" themed pins will be released during this special celebration at select pin purchasing locations. Retails will vary. Pin purchasing limits will apply. Annual Passholder Exclusive Pin

This Summer, be on the lookout for an Annual Passholder exclusive pin featuring everyone's favorite spirited pixie Tinker Bell as she takes the lead as your guide to adventure. The Annual Passholder exclusive pin will be offered for $10.95, plus tax. Pin purchasing limits apply. Passholder must present valid Annual Passport at time of purchase. Wristband Guidelines:

Wristbands will be distributed entitling bearers to the opportunity to purchase limited edition pins released in association with the "Featured Artist" product release and signing. Wristbands for pins will be distributed near the West Esplanade Guest Information Kiosk one hour prior to park opening until one hour past the opening of Disneyland® park. Wristbands will then be available at the location until 12 Noon or while supplies last. In addition, holding a place in line for others in your party will not be allowed. Guests who wish to obtain a wristband to purchase a pin must be present when the line forms or they will be escorted to the back of the line.

Wristbands will be valid for the purchase of the pins at the designated merchandise location until 1:00 P.M. on the day of distribution. Wristbands are limited. At 1:00 P.M. any remaining pins will be available for purchase at the designated merchandise location by persons who have not previously purchased the pin(s) on the day of release. Artist Bio

When I was young I used to escape to my room and draw all day. I would draw all kinds of things but mostly animals and Disney characters. Who knew I'd still be doing that today! After receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from Penn State University, I moved to Florida to see what Walt Disney World® had to offer. I started my Disney career in '92 as a seasonal Cast Member for the Easter parade. After that I transferred to a Full-time position at the Disney's Hollywood StudiosTM as a tour guide for the Backstage Studio Tour. After about two years of bouncing around the park, working at different attractions and events, I landed a job with Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida in the Ink and Paint Department. From there I moved my way up and obtained a job as a Final Checker.

This is where I had the chance to make one of my dreams come true and work on the animated film& "Mulan." Now I am living out my biggest dream of being a Disney Artist. Working with the Disney Design Group and being part of this diverse, creative and talented group of artists (and fellow Disney geeks) is probably one of the most rewarding and exciting things to have ever happened to me. Every day I gain a greater respect and love for what I do and who I do it for. In my sixteen years with Disney I have seen, learned, experienced, and achieved more than I ever thought possible.
