Event Information

Take a road trip with our Billboard inspired pins featuring some of Disneyland® Resort's most beloved characters, icons, attractions and immersive experiences. This limited edition pin collection created for Disney's Summer Pin Festival 2008 - Mickey's Pin Odyssey was designed by Disney Design Group Senior Character Artist, Monty Maldovan. Monty will be on hand for a special appearance and signing from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM in Little Green Men Store Command.

There are three ways to purchase these pins:

Individual Pins

Hitchhiking Ghosts - Haunted Mansion® Attraction

Woody & Jessie - Toy Story Mania!TM Attraction

Nemo - Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage Attraction

Collector Set

The Collector Set contains six (6) Billboard inspired limited edition pins and one (1) completer Road Trip Mickey Mouse pin. The completer pin is only available by purchasing the entire collector set and is not sold separately. All of the pins come packaged on an 11" wide by 8.5" tall backer card.

Framed Set

The Framed Collector Set contains six (6) limited edition pins and two (2) completer pins. The completer pins will be not be sold separately. The completer pins feature the Road Trip Mickey Mouse and the Sleeping Beauty Castle Starburst. Dimensions will be available shortly.

Limit TWO (2) pins signed per Guest. Special Guest Artist will only sign their respective pins. We ask that you bring no personal items to be signed. Artist appearances are subject to space and availability and are not guaranteed. Information subject to change without notice.

Wristband Guidelines:

Wristbands will be distributed entitling bearers to the opportunity to purchase limited edition pins released in association with the "Featured Artist" product release and signing. Wristbands for pins will be distributed near the West Esplanade Guest Information Kiosk one hour prior to park opening until one hour past the opening of Disneyland® park. Wristbands will then be available at the location until 12 Noon or while supplies last. In addition, holding a place in line for others in your party will not be allowed. Guests who wish to obtain a wristband to purchase a pin must be present when the line forms or they will be escorted to the back of the line.

Wristbands will be valid for the purchase of the pins at the designated merchandise location until 1:00 P.M. on the day of distribution. Wristbands are limited. At 1:00 P.M. any remaining pins will be available for purchase at the designated merchandise location by persons who have not previously purchased the pin(s) on the day of release. Theme park admission required. Lost, stolen or damaged wristbands will not be replaced. Wristbands have no cash value. Restrictions apply. Subject to change without notice.

Artist Bio

When I was young I used to escape to my room and draw all day. I would draw all kinds of things but mostly animals and Disney characters. Who knew I'd still be doing that today! After receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from Penn State University, I moved to Florida to see what Walt Disney World® had to offer. I started my Disney career in '92 as a seasonal Cast Member for the Easter parade. After that I transferred to a Full-time position at the Disney's Hollywood StudiosTM as a tour guide for the Backstage Studio Tour. After about two years of bouncing around the park, working at different attractions and events, I landed a job with Walt Disney Feature Animation Florida in the Ink and Paint Department. From there I moved my way up and obtained a job as a Final Checker.

This is where I had the chance to make one of my dreams come true and work on the animated film& "Mulan." Now I am living out my biggest dream of being a Disney Artist. Working with the Disney Design Group and being part of this diverse, creative and talented group of artists (and fellow Disney geeks) is probably one of the most rewarding and exciting things to have ever happened to me. Every day I gain a greater respect and love for what I do and who I do it for. In my sixteen years with Disney I have seen, learned, experienced, and achieved more than I ever thought possible.
