On this past Saturday afternoon there was a very private, very exclusive,
very unofficial, very exciting sneak peek at the Disney Catalog/Disney
Direct Marketing/Walt Disney Collectibles line of merchandise being
released in celebration of Disneylands 50th Anniversary. Kevin
Kidney, Disney
Artist/Creative Manager for Disney Catalog Art and Collectibles and
Jody Dailey, Associate Manager of Design for Disney Direct Marketing
(DDM) opened the doors to their Disney Direct digs in the WDI
complex in Glendale to a small group of fellow Disneylanders (yeah,
thats Disneyland geeks to most folks) to finally show-off their
year-and-a-half of hard work.
Let me tell you The pins are everywhere! There are pins in
boxed sets. There are pins in framed sets. There are pins with their
architectural miniatures. There are pins with their miniature ride
vehicles. And, they're all Limited Editions. You can see the passion
for Classic Disneyland that Kevin and Jody share with
their audience these two get it. Its a rare
thing for a Disney artist to so completely understand their audience
and to share their love of Disneyland with them. Great graphics, really
obscure art, fabulous memories - and we're all sure to fall in love
with something. Kevin and Jody are true fans hard-core Disneylanders,
and their passion for Walts park shows in their art and in this
entire product line take a look at some of the pins, and then
start saving! Enjoy!
