New for 2005 is Disneyland® Resort’s new “Featured Artist” Collection. These Limited Edition Jumbo-sized pins will be released each month featuring a different Disney Design Group Artist. Each quarter the DLR will host one of the Featured Artist for a special appearance. Event: "Featured Artist" Collection Pin Release & Signing Featured Artist: Disney Design Group Artist, Susan Foy Date: Saturday, January 22, 2005 Time: 9:00 a.m. to Noon Location: Premiere Shop in Tomorrowland at Disneyland® park Event Information As part of the release of our "Featured Artist" collection, Disney Design Group Artist, Susan Foy will be on hand for a special appearance and signing. This memorable "Featured Artist" pin portrays one of our favorite trouble-makers Stitch, as a rock legend. His portrait depicts him participating in his favorite pastime, playing guitar. This pin measures approximately 2 1/2" x 3" and includes the "Feature Artist" logo and Artist's signature back stamped. The pin is packaged in a beautiful display box and includes the Artist's bio and photograph. Also available will be several other pins designed by Susan Foy, including Aloha Stitch, Tinker Bell: Disneyland Original, Modern Aurora in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle and Pluto in Happiness is a Warm Puppy. Please note wristband distribution guidelines below. Special Guest Artist will only sign their respective pins. WRISTBAND DISTRIBUTION Wristbands will be distributed entitling bearers to the opportunity to purchase limited edition pins released in association with the "Featured Artist" pin release and signing. Guests wishing to obtain a wristband to purchase the "limited-edition" pins, will not be permitted to wait in line prior to 6:00 a.m. Wristbands for pins will be distributed on the day of release one hour prior to the opening of Disneyland® park in the West Esplanade Tram Drop-off area located near the Guest Information Kiosk. In addition, holding a place in line for others in your party will not be allowed. Guests who wish to obtain a wristband to purchase a pin must be present when the line forms or they will be escorted to the back of the line. Wristbands will be distributed until 12 Noon or while supplies last. Wristbands will be valid for the purchase of the pins at the designated merchandise location until 1:00 P.M. on the day of distribution. Wristbands are limited. At 1:00 P.M. any remaining pins will be available for purchase at the designated merchandise location by persons who have not previously purchased the pin(s) on the day of release. Theme park admission required. Lost, stolen or damaged wristbands will not be replaced. Wristbands have no cash value. Restrictions apply. Subject to change without notice. Artist Bio Susan Foy graduated from the Colorado Institute of Art in Denver, Colorado in 1984 and began a 16-year career in Advertising. She started with the Disney Design Group as a freelance artist in May 1999 and in February 2000 became a permanent member of the Creative team. Currently she is a member of the Disneyland®Resort Art Team. No wish list will be taken for this event. We ask that you bring no personal items to be signed.
