WDW 2001 Pin Events
Here is all of the news and information you will need regarding the WDW Pin Events for 2001, beginning in March and ending in August with the biggest Pin Event EVER held at a Disney Park!!

March 22, 2001 ~ Downtown Disney

Have I got something to tell you!!! The Countdown to Disney's Pin Celebration will get a BIG kick off at DTD and..we will have some fun at |
Pluto's Pin Pursuit!!
My pin pursuit will take place on
March 22, 2001 at Downtown Disney Florida
from 9:30 am - 5:00 pm.
The Guest Experience will be a....well...MY
PIN PURSUIT!!!
and the Central Location for my Pin Pursuit will
be the WOD.
The maps for my Pin Pursuit will be given out
at the WOD
and the free pin will be given out at the Info
Desk to those
who get their map stamped from all locations.
The free pin for completing the pursuit will
be a DTD Anniversary Pin.
Eight pins, as part of my Pin Pursuit game,
are core pins that will premiere for this event.

Disney's Days of Christmas
Remember that these are Open Stock Pins!!
The Spring Break 2001 limited edition pin by Mark
Seppala
will be released and he will be signing pins
from
10:30 am - 11:30 am at the Dock Stage.
The Event Exclusive pin is by Allan Davis,
who will be signing pins from
11:00 am - 12:00 noon at the Dock Stage.
Also, the debut of the Countdown Pin Series
for
Disney's Pin Celebration ~ Pins Around Our
World.
Each pin is a limited edition of only 2500
and a new one will released at each event counting
down to the
August event.
So...there will be a total of 12 Pins Released at this Event..

April 22, 2001 ~ Animal Kingdom
The days are counting down to another great Pin Event!!!
Disney's Animal Kingdom will be hosting the second in the
Countdown Series Pin Events this Earth Day, Sunday, April 22, 2001.
This event will offer even more exciting pin releases,
Disney artist signings, a fun, interactive "Pin Adventure" and lots
more pin surprises!
Several exciting new limited edition pins will be released, including:
A new
limited edition of 5000 Earth Day 2001 pin
featuring Jiminy Cricket.
An exclusive
limited edition 1000 pin, "Bamboo Mickey",
which has Mickey visiting with a giraffe friend.
The
second in the series of special limited edition 2500 "Countdown Series"
dangle pin for Disney's Animal Kingdom, with a dangle highlighting
Disney's Pin Celebration this August 9-12, 2001 at Epcot.
There
will also be the premier of a special spinner pin
of "Artistry of the Earth", with a limited edition of 2500 pins.
And... some unique WDW Pins...

New "Safari Animals of the Animal Kingdom" series pins
featuring stylish new safari guide card backs and all new animal designs.
A new
"Safari Vehicle" with moveable wheels.
A new
"Pin Trading Station" ala Animal Kingdom and maybe a few more surprises.....
Joining the celebration will be artists, Mark Seppala and Michelle
Morrow.
They will be available to talk with guests and sign the pins they designed.
Lastly, guests will be invited to go on a "Disney's Animal Kingdom
Pin Adventure".
Beginning at Palm Court, guests will receive their complimentary "Field
Guide".
From there they will embark on an exciting adventure that
will take them to the far reaches of Harambe Village, Dinoland, Asia,
and other parts unknown....
At each destination on their trek, they will seek the answer to a trivia
question or trade pins with cast members to receive a special
Safari mark.
Once all the marks are completed, they can redeem their guide for a
special commemorative "3rd Anniversary" Disney's Animal Kingdom pin.
You won't want to miss this exciting Pin Adventure!

May 16, 2001 ~ Disney MGM Studios
Lights...Camera...... and ACTION!!! "Pin" Action that is!!
The Disney-MGM Studios will be hosting the third in the Countdown Series
Pin Events on
Wednesday, May 16, 2001.
This event will offer more exciting pin releases, Disney artist signings,
a fun interactive "Pin Production" and many more pin surprises!
Several new limited edition pins will be released, including:
There will
be a 9 pin series with a limited edition of 5000 pins each,
celebrating the Century of Disney.
The first pin in this series will premier and be released at this
event retailing for $8.50.
An event exclusive
limited edition of 1000 pin, "Dinosaur Gertie's"
will retail for $8.50.
Also
released will be the third in the series of special limited
edition of 2500 "Countdown Series" Dangle Pin for the
Disney - MGM Studio, with a dangle highlighting
Disney's Pin Celebration this August 9-12, 2001 at Epcot.
This pin will retail for $10.50.
And... some unique, open stock WDW Pins including...
4 New "Indiana Jones" Poster Series Pins

Joining in the celebration will be artists, Randy Noble, creator
of the
Countdown to Disney's Pin Celebration Dangle Pins and
the Celebrating Series of the Century of Disney Pins and
Martha Widener, who designed the event exclusive pin,
Dinosaur Gertie's Pin.
They will be available to talk with guests and sign the pins they designed.
Guests will also enjoy an interactive "Pin Production" that will
take them through the park as they gather the last minute
elements as a Production Assistant.
Once the guest receives all backstage pass stamps, by
either trading a pin with a CM or answering a question about that
specific prop shop, they will receive their
"Production Credentials" that can be added to their day's "script".

14, 2001 ~ Magic Kingdom
On June 14, 2001, the Magic Kingdom will be celebrating the Countdown
to Disney's Pin Celebration,
the fourth pin celebration in the Countdown to the Pin Celebration
at Epcot in August!!!
Several new limited edition pins will be released including......
Swan
Boat ~ LE of 1000
Countdown to 100 Years of Magic ~ Number 2 in the Series of 9 Pins
Cinderella Coach ~ Boxed Set
Countdown to Disney's Pin Celebration ~ Magic Kingdom Dangle pin.
And there will be six new Magic Kingdom themed open edition pins including.....
"Barnstormer"
"Golden Carousel"
"Diamond Horseshoe Saloon Revue"
"Many
Adventures of Winnie the Pooh"
"Magic
Carpets of Aladdin"
"Crystal
Palace"
Guests will also be given the opportunity to set out on Pixie's Pin
Path, which will lead guests on a
magical adventure throughout the Magic Kingdom® Park, as they pursue
the ever elusive fairy.
In 7 different locations, guests will trade pins or answer trivia questions
while on her path.
If they succeed in their quest, they will be rewarded with a collectible
pin featuring our favorite pixie.
Michelle Morrow, creator of the Cinderella and Carriage limited edition
pin, and Jeff Ebersohl, designer
of the Swan Boat exclusive pin, will be available to sign your treasures
from 1:30-3:30 PM.
Also, there will be a sneak peek at the latest in pins from both Walt
Disney World® Resort and Disney's California Adventure®.

|
to Disney's Pin Celebration, will be held on July 1, 2001 at Disney's Contemporary Resort. There will be several new limited edition pins released including.....

Guests will also be given the opportunity to set out on pin excursion,
