Ralph takes us to the Star Spangled Event!!!

Well, talk about a COMEBACK! WOW! Disney gets an A + for this event for sure! I felt this was the best event yet!
Upon arrival the Contemporary was decked out in Red White and Blue! Banner, Balloons and White picket fences transformed
the Contemporary into America's Backyard!

The Kids area was set up right next to the pin trading boards. Notice that guy in the red white and blue suit? Yup the main Mouse was
in his patriotic best! Just to the right of this photo was the adult pin trading board. I arrived a little late but I did hear about the luck person who got the ARTIST PROOF of the New Trash can that was released today! For all you "die hard" Tink collectors out there....there is a silhouette
of her inside the shield on the trash can too!

The Artist were all set up with their work posted on a board behind them. That was a nice touch too! Just in case you were not sure
what the artist had created.....just look behind them for a list. You may notice a board next to the artist. This is where they posted the
winning raffle numbers. What's that? Yes, I was surprised too! I am sure you can guess what the prizes were! Well,...besides pins they
also were giving away some of the new pin trading shirts to lucky winners. Now shirts are nice but another lucky trader won a box with a pin inside it. What pin? How about the ARTIST PROOF of the DCL Donald pin? WOWSA ! I told you this was a knock-um-dead event.

You can see there were LOTS of people but the lines went OH SO QUICKLY! Yes, really! I don't think that I waited in line more than 5 minutes. I think the worst place was the pin cart at the Polly to by the core map pins. I passed since they will soon be available property wide. Something not seen since the princess event........all the pins were SOLD OUT! We all know about the leftover pins hanging around days and weeks after an event but all the event pins were gone! Even the Artist Choice pin which was my favorite was looking pretty slim! They were scraping the bottom of the box around 3 today so I don't expect them to last through the night. The Walt with Mickey event pin was FANTASTIC! The pin was in a patriotic theme box and they included the Mickey USA Ears and USA Shield pin inside to make the presentation all that more special! Sure they were rack pins but that certainly made the price of the event even more of a steal!

The ONLY bad thing I heard people complain about was that there were a lot of damages this round. Well, if that's the worst that can happen then that is just fine with me! Certainly Disney will get replacements out. I just encourage everyone who attended to contact event services and give them the KUDOS they deserve for a fantastic event! We often complain when things don't work out just right. Well, let's let them know we appreciate their hard work on this event!

THANKS DISNEY!
