There were waves of new pins, including some with editions so low, you thought they went out with the tide! There were new open edition pins exclusive to the Disney Cruise Line. Some cruisers found some unique buried treasures at a one-of-a-kind auction, and information surfaced at one of the many sessions with Disney Design Group Artists.

Surprise Pin Releases!!!

LE 500 White Rabbit Surprise Pin. This is going to be released ship-wide, however, if you attended the artist seminar, you were given one right there.

An LE 1000 "Alice Falling Down The Rabbit Hole" Surprise Pin will be released tonight. You can get it when you pick up your RSP pins between 7:00 P.M. and midnight. Again, if you attended the seminar, you received a wristband. This wristband guarantees you 2 per person. The pin will not be released to the ship until everyone, who had a wristband, gets their pins.

There will be an LE 2000 Surprise Pin released at Castaway Cay on Wednesday.

 
This Event LE 500 Build A Pin was released yesterday, when Mickey's Mates opened.
...and one of the new Cruise Line Add-Ons...
We had some bad "waves" yesterday, when we received news from the cruise. This pin was not given to registered guests...it is an LE pin available to cruisers via RSP.

Registered guests received the Walt with Captain Mickey LE 500 pin!!!

Here is the LE 1000 "Alice Falling Down The Rabbit Hole" Slider Pin!

If you attended yesterday's seminar, you received a wristband. This wristband guarantees you 2 pins per person. The pin was not released to the ship until everyone, who had a wristband, received their pins.
This is the Shore Excursion Pin and the Event Logo Pin. They are both limited to 500 pins, and everyone got one. Each retailed for $8.50.
Will these appear on a "second chance" RSP???? YES!!!!! There is going to be a "second chance" RSP. This is going to be RSP number 5! Officially, this will be for the remaining event logo and shipmates pins.

We at Dizpins join Ted and Stephanie when they give a HUGE THANKS to the event team. They are: Darlene Dumas (event manager), Mary Martin, Amy Edwards, Gary LaTouche, Rodney Hill, Mark King, Kim Payne, Kristin McElveen, Mia Barbaro, Beverly Martin, Ralph Kent, and Cody Reynolds........

These people did a WONDERFUL job! This event was flawless! There was absolutely NO confusion. Except for the Castaway Cay pin, everything was RSP. This allowed them to have absolute control and to ensure that the pins where distributed as evenly and fairly as possible. The seminars were great! The pins were GREAT, not to mention, plentiful!!! We all owe the event team and the crew of the Disney Wonder a standing ovation! If the Spectacle of Pins event is run this well, everyone is in for a great treat! We'd also like to thank a few Cast Members: Sara in the Internet Cafe. Without you, these detailed report wouldn't have been possible!!! Thanks to Gail at Treasure Ketch. DCL had a TON of lanyard pins. She helped assure that everyone got a stab at them. In other words, no one person walked out of here with everything!

Thanks again to the event team and to the crew of the Disney Wonder. You planned a great party and were WONDERful hosts! Our hat's off to you all!

Your stuPINdous cruise starts at the Disney Cruise Line terminal in Port Canaveral when you rendezvous with Super Pin Traders. Then, be sure to pick up a Pin Pursuit
Map to help you scour the Disney Wonder for clues you'll need to complete Disney Cruise Line trivia.

12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. to 6:0 p.m.

Registration and package pick-up at Studio Sea, Deck 4, Midship.
What package, you ask? Why, the one containing your complimentary limited edition pin trading t-shirt and cruise pin.

2:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
