Disney’s Pin Celebration

The Disney~MGM Studios

The days are counting down to the pin event
of the year at Epcot in
August, with the Countdown to Disney’s Pin
Celebration at Disney-MGM Studios, the third in
this series of exciting pin events, only
one week away!!
There will be several new pin releases,
including
some special limited edition pins, new open
edition pins and event exclusives!
Disney artists will also be on hand to meet
and greet guests and
to sign their very own pin creations.
Plus, guests will be joining in the “Show”
as they receive
a special “Pin Production Script” that enlists
their help as
Production Assistants for a day!
Here is a complete look at Disney’s Pin Celebration
Countdown Day at the Disney-MGM Studios:
Arrival
Times
The World Drive Auto
Plaza will open at 5:30 a.m. at the
World Drive entrance
only.
Guests arriving early
for the event, must
use the World Drive
entrance to the Disney-MGM Studios
to receive their event
wristbands and information.
The park will open at 7:30 a.m.
Some refreshments
will be available for purchase
for guests arriving
prior to park opening.
All Limited Edition pins will be available
by wristband/voucher only.
At this event, a new pin wristband system
will be used in
place of the pin vouchers and these wristbands
will work
exactly as the pin vouchers did in the past.
Each wristband will be have a color indicating
which pins
the guest will be eligible to purchase.
There will be event signs at each location
detailing what
pins go with each of the colored wristbands.
Each voucher/ wristband will enable guests
to purchase
that pin or pins before 11:00 a.m.
Wristbands
The magenta
color wristband will allow guests to purchase
a maximum of two (2)
of each of the following pins:
Countdown to 100 Years
of Magic - First in a Series of 9,
Disney’s Pin Celebration
Countdown # 3 Dangle pin
and the Event Exclusive
Pin - Dinosaur Gertie’s.
The orange color
wristband will allow guests to purchase
a maximum of two (2)
of each of the following pins:
Countdown to 100 Years
of Magic - First in a Series of 9
and Disney’s Pin Celebration
Countdown # 3 Dangle Pin.
Standby
Vouchers
A very limited number
of standby vouchers will be distributed
at the World Drive
Auto Plaza following the wristband distribution.
Guests will be allowed to purchase a maximum
of twenty-five (25)
of each of the open edition pins per person,
per day.
The
Disney~MGM Studios Pin Production Script
At World Drive Auto
Plaza, guests will receive their wristband/stand-by pin vouchers.
They will also receive
a Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park Pin Production Script.
The Production Script
will direct guests to prop shops throughout
the theme park where
they can entertain the idea
of participating in
pin trading at Walt Disney World!
Each of the open edition
pins has a location on which they can be
placed to complete
the Production Script.
Once completed, the
Production Script can be framed ($130.00)
as a memory
of the adventures in the park.
Guests will be asked
trivia questions about each of the retail
locations throughout
the park that sell the above listed open edition pins.
Guests may answer
a question or trade a pin with a cast member
in the designated
locations to receive a stamp on their Production Script.
Once all of the stamps
have been collected, the guest can take their completed
Pin Production Script
to Hollywood Junction to receive their
Complimentary Disney-MGM
Studios Credential Pin.
Artist
Appearances
Martha Widener, Walt Disney World artist
and creator of the exclusive
Dinosaur Gertie’s pin, will be available
from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m.
and from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Sunset
Fruit Stand
for guests to have their items autographed.
Randy Noble, Walt Disney World artist and
designer of both
Countdown to 100 years &
Disney’s Pin Celebration Countdown # 3 dangle
pins will be joining
Martha from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Guests will have the opportunity for a maximum
of eight (8) autographs
per artist, per entry and may re-enter the
line.
Additionally, the Walt Disney Parks and
Resort Trading
Merchant Team will be previewing upcoming
pin releases
at the same location from 11:30 a.m. to
2:30 pm.
Pinformation
Centers and Pinformation
Pinformation Centers
will be available at the Hollywood Junction
pin location and New
York Newsstand.
These locations
will also be utilized as pin trading areas.
Redemption
Area
Hollywood Junction
Pin Station will be the point of
redemption for all
guests who have completed
their journey through
our production script at the Disney-MGM Studios.
Once the guest receives
their completor stamp at Hollywood Junction,
they will receive
their “credentials” pin that can also be placed on the script.
