Here it is!!! The tentative itinerary and information
for the August Pin Celebration at Epcot
August 9-12, 2001

Pins Around Our World!!

All of us at Dizpins can hardly wait to meet all of you at the Epcot
Pin Celebration. This Pin Celebration will see pin traders
from all over the world come together to celebrate this
Worldwide Phenomenon called "Disney Pin Trading"!!

All of us will have the opportunity to purchase rare and
one-of-a kind pins, and we will learn about pins, the artists
who create the pins and most of all...to meet and trade with
Disney Pin Collectors from all over the world!!

Location

The pin celebration will take place at the Epcot
World Showplace, formally known as The Millennium Village.

Entrance Walkway

When you approach World Showplace, two large flag-like "feather banners"
with the Pin Celebration logo will be at the entrance of the
walkway leading into World Showplace.
The facade of World Showplace will reveal a large
Pin Celebration banner.

When you walk down the pathway toward World Showplace,
you will see colorful banners to capture the spirit of the international flags
that you will discover as you enter the event area.

Registration Area

The first area you will encounter within the World Showplace
will be the registration area.
This area will serve as the registration area for those attending the
special breakfast on Thursday August 9, 2001.
This area will also be the registration point for the Random Selection Process.
The Random Selection Process will be used to select the guests that
will be able to purchase LE pins throughout the event.

All attendees must fill out the RSP forms daily,
including those that are attending the breakfast.

You will also see registration stations made up of internationally
themed mini-kiosks throughout the room,
revealing that Pin Trading is truly a worldwide celebration.
You will be able to see the limited edition pins that will be
available throughout the Pin Celebration in the Globe
Shaped display cases.

Forms for the RSP will be available at Pin Central at Epcot
and the World Showplace.

Logo Store/Event Hub

Once you pass the registration area, you will enter the
merchandise store and hub for the entire Pin Celebration.
In the center of the hub, you will see a large globe of
Earth, which will be the focal point for the shop and to remind us
all that this celebration will truly be
Pins Around Our World!!

Here you will also see Pin Celebration logo products,
thousands of pins from across WDW and select
Epcot logo products. With the banners, flags and kites
suspended, you will surely feel a part of this
Worldwide Pin Celebration!!

The logo products will include:

A blue logo hat, which will include a pin
Small pin bag
Logo T-shirt
Logo Polo Shirt

From this point, pathways will spread out like spokes on a
wheel, leading you to various event venues.

Pin Partners

When you travel down the various pathways, you will see
displays hosted by several partners who will be sharing in this
pin trading phenomenon. These partners include Kodak, Disneyland,
100 Years of Magic, and Disney Publishing.

Pin of the Day

Behind and to the left of the Logo Store hub, you will have the
opportunity to purchase the LE pins at a designated
"Pin of the Day" purchase area. There will be 24
registers in this area that will be devoted solely to the
Pin of the Day purchases.

Auction Preview ~ Special Edition Pin Display

Directly behind the Logo Store hub, you will find a display
of the unique pin items that will be offered for sale at the
auction on Sunday. You will also see the special edition pins
that will be available throughout the event.

Pin Trading Lounge

Just behind the auction preview venue, you will be able to trade pins
with pin pals from all over the world in the Pin Trading Lounge!!
There will be tables and chairs and this area will also feature a
photo opportunity where you can take pictures of your friends
in front of unique backdrops representing oversized pin sets, lanyards
and everything else that we have all become accustomed with in our
hobby of Disney Pin Collecting!!

Food and Beverage Area

Near the Pin Trading Lounge, you will be able to purchase soft drinks,
snacks and food items from the food and beverage carts. These carts will
be near the Pin Trading Lounge for you to relax at the table and
chairs provided.

Auction and Seminar Stage

At the rear of World Showplace, you will discover a theater-style
seating area and stage. This area will be the venue for the pin related
seminars as well as the auction on Sunday.

The pins for the Framed Pin Set will include pins from the "Sister Parks"

One (1) each of the Artist Pins, the Undisclosed Series Pins, the 100 Years
of Magic Pins and the Villain Pins will be released EACH day.

The Core Pins for the Pin Scavenger Hunt will include pins from:

Disneyland
WDW
Disney's California Adventure
Disneyland Paris
Walt Disney Studios
Tokyo Disneyland
Tokyo DisneySea
Disney Hong Kong

There will be 3000 maps for the scavenger hunt
each day, with an award given for
completing the scavenger hunt.
It will be the same map for each of the 4 days.

There will also be 30 Pre-framed Pin Scavenger Hunt Maps and Pins,
which will be signed by artist Mark Seppala.

And....each day, there will be a Daily Framed Give-Away!!

All pin release and event information is subject to change without
notice including dates, edition sizes and artwork.

Photo Pins

These pins will make their first appearance during the event.
(They won't be available again until October 1st)!

The pins will be found at photo areas and several kiosks
around WDW, will allow you to pick from several backgrounds,
and then have your picture taken in front of your favorite Disney area.
Your picture will be small enough to place on you very own uniquely designed pin.
