A new Disney Pin Trading Promotion starts today, July
31, 2007 at selection locations at the Walt Disney World® Resort.
For every $30.00 spent on Disney Pins or Disney Trading Accessories at participating locations, Guests can add one (1) Disney Park Logo pin to their purchase for $1.00.* Each Disney Park will have their own unique logo pin. The locations participating in this promotion will include:
These logo pins were originally planned as part of a Hidden Mickey pin collection for the Walt Disney World® Resort. The Disney Cruise Line® introduced their ear logo pin in September 2006 as a special purchase with purchase promotion on the ships. When asked about other designs from that collection, Steven responded, "We are currently focused on the release of the four Disney Park pins. We will introduce logo pins for World of Disney® Store - New York, Disney's Pin Traders at the Downtown Disney® Marketplace and Disney Resorts at a future date." Steven also said that the Disney Cruise Line® Logo pin will be reintroduced later this year. *Pins or pin accessories must be purchased during same sales transaction. Qualifying purchased based on pre-tax, post discount, single transaction amount. Promotion applies only to merchandise transaction and does not apply to the purchase of any tickets or passes or the Walt Disney World® Shopping and Dining Card. All Disney Park logo pins available while supplies last. Disney Park Logo pin(s) must be returned if any merchandise is returned from the qualifying transaction. Separate Theme Park admission and parking fees may be required for certain locations. |

Upcoming Haunted Mansion Pin Release

Ricky spotted this new Haunted Mansion pin in the
upcoming pins display box at Disney's Pin Traders at Downtown Disney
in Orlando today. It depicts the new staircase scene that they're working
on adding to the Haunted Mansion, due to premiere in September! Very
exciting.
No release date was given and it is believed that this will be an
open edition pin. |

The 25th Anniversary of Epcot®

 In 1966, Walt Disney coined the acronym "EPCOT" meaning "Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow." He presented his dream in a short film detailing a place where people could live in an environment like no other. Following the opening of the Magic Kingdom® Park in 1971, the Walt Disney Company announced it would proceed with plans to build Walt's final dream. Disney Imagineers soon had proposals ready for a park consisting of two areas - Future World and World Showcase. "EPCOT Center" opened to Guests on October 1, 1982. Today, Guests visiting Epcot® can celebrate the fascinating cultures and numerous wonders of the world around through dazzling shows, interactive experiences and amazing attractions. Epcot® served as the birthplace of Disney Pin Trading in October 1999. WDW felt it was fitting to commemorate this milestone with a wonderful collection of Disney pins. Martha Widener from Disney Design Group contributed to the artwork for these pins. The pins will be released at various locations throughout Epcot® on October 1, 2007.
