Walt Disney Originals Collection - True-Life Adventures The Walt Disney Originals Collection pays tribute to Walt Disney's pioneering achievements in great family entertainment. A new Limited Edition pin will be released each month throughout 2006. This Limited Edition pin celebrates Walt Disney's True-Life Adventures. Walt Disney's True-Life Adventures were a series of thirteen nature films released between 1948 and 1960. These films paved the way for nature documentaries that are found today. There will be a Disney pin and collectible show taking
place this Sunday, June 4th in the Anaheim area next to Disneyland.
It will have numerous tables of Disney pins and collectibles.
Thousands of different Disney pins and other Disney collectibles will be available for sale/trade. There will be door prizes and an auction. The show is hosted by Disneyana Fun Fairs. In addition, there will be special exhibits and prizes. Scheduled to appear are the following Disney legends of Animation and Imagineering: Bob Gurr Charles Boyer Terri Hardin Matt McKim Plus more... There will be a display with many of Bob Gurr's Disneyland attraction vehicle designs. Plus, on display will be the only fully restored Disneyland Peoplemover. Also, a Small World exhibit, celebrating 40 years. Bring your cameras!! Speedway Children's Charities, in conjunction with
the world premiere of the Disney / Pixar film "CARS," hosted
a pre-screening reception on Friday, May 26, at 6 p.m. prior to the
movie's showing at Lowe's Motor Speedway.
The reception, featured both celebrities and NASCAR personalities, and was open to the public with different levels of ticket classifications available. Everybody purchasing tickets to the reception walked the red carpet into the premiere and receive preferred movie seating in Lowe's Motor Speedway's Turn 2, which was transformed into a state-of-the-art movie theater with digital projection and surround sound. Speedway Children's Charities provides funds to organizations that meet the direct needs of children. From mentoring programs to camps for special-needs children, they best affect children's lives by supporting organizations that work tirelessly to see that children's needs are met and that no child is left behind regardless of illness, social environment or disability. |
