Dining Pin Series
Celebrating Five Decades of Disney Dining, this collection of Annual Passholder exclusive pins are available with every $30.00 food and beverage purchase at select dining locations (see below). Each pin comes in its own nostalgically themed box inspired by water color images form Guide Books of 1955 and 1957. Printed on the interior of each box is the name of the Restaurant, some fun facts about each dining location and line art representing the land of each location.  The pins will be available at the following locations: Disneyland® park Plaza Inn, Carnation Cafe, Rancho del Zocalo, French Market, Cafe

This quaint refreshment location came out of hi-bear-nation and debuted to Guests visiting Bear Country in 1972. An ingenious use of mirrors made the bar seem to stretch as far as a country mile, resulting in the bar's whimsical name. Walt Disney World was actually the first Disney theme park to feature the Mile Long Bar; the bar was featured in Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom. In 1989, Splash Mountain made its "splashy" debut at the Disneyland® Resort and soon Guests were journeying through the world of Brer Bear, Brer Fox and Brer Rabbit in hopes of finding the secret "laughing place." To go along with the new attraction, the Mile Long Bar was renamed the "Brer Bar." Guests who were drenched on Splash Mountain could stroll across the way to Brer Bar and become quenched with light fare and cool drinks. |

The Postal Service continues to honor Walt Disney
and his studio animators by issuing the Art of Disney: Romance stamps.
This is the third stamp pane honoring the art of Disney to be issued
by the U.S. Postal Service. The first, issued in 2004, was on the
theme of friendship. The second, issued in 2005, focused on celebrations.

Planning a trip to Walt Disney World? Mark your
calendar for April 21, 2006 when the set of four "Art
of Disney: Romance" stamps will be issued at Epcot in Lake Buena
Vista, Fla. to kick off the theme park's annual Epcot International
Flower & Garden Festival. Characters depicted on the stamps include:
Mickey and Minnie, Lady and the Tramp, Cinderella and Prince Charming,
and Beauty and the Beast.
This day will be a big day for stamp collectors because the “first day cover,” which is a commemorative envelope with the stamp canceled on the day it was issued, and will be available for purchase. The first two US stamp sets featuring Disney characters, "Friendship"
and "Celebration", were issued at Disneyland® Park.
This year, Epcot® is the official First Day of Issue site. |
