Walt Disney Originals Collection - Monorail The Walt Disney Originals Collection pays tribute to Walt Disney's pioneering achievements in great family entertainment. A new Limited Edition pin will be released each month throughout 2006. This Limited Edition pin celebrates the Disneyland® Resort Monorail system. The Tomorrowland® attraction first opened at the Disneyland® Park on June 14, 1959. It was the first daily operating monorail in the country. The Walt Disney World® Resort added a Monorail transportation system on October 1, 1971. This pin was designed by Disney Design Group Artist Glenn Winters. July 1st beginning at 8:00 a.m. while supplies last. Vouchers will
be distributed beginning at 7:30 a.m. while supplies last.
These exclusive limited edition pins have all sorts of fun features. Plus, don’t miss pins created in the spirit of Disney’s PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN’S CHEST! New Pirate Coin Pin Series
Treasure hunters found a new twist in the pin trading boards as they looked for booty at the Pirates of the Caribbean ~ Legend of the Golden Pins!! One side was the standard see a pin you like, trade for it. The other side was different. Now there are secret treasure chests. Each chest has a pin in it. You don't know what you will get, sometimes good, sometimes it's someone's trader. The fun part is that some have randomly placed Pirate Coin Pins in them. Find this, you get the coin and the regular pin. The back of the pin says, "Disneyland Resort Hotel Lanyard Collection". We were told that there are 9 pins in the set. There are denominations 1, 2, 3 (Huey Dewey Louie), 5 (Pluto), 10 (Donald), 25 (Goofy), 50 (Sleeping Beauty Castle), 75 (Minnie), and 100 (Mickey). They are different in size and also given to hotel guests in a packet when they check in. Happy Hunting! |
