New Pirate Coin Pin Series
 Treasure hunters found a new twist in the pin trading boards as they looked for booty at the Pirates of the Caribbean ~ Legend of the Golden Pins!! One side was the standard see a pin you like, trade for it. The other side was different. Now there are secret treasure chests. Each chest has a pin in it. You don't know what you will get, sometimes good, sometimes it's someone's trader. The fun part is that some have randomly placed Pirate Coin Pins in them. Find this, you get the coin and the regular pin. The back of the pin says, "Disneyland Resort Hotel Lanyard Collection". We were told that there are 9 pins in the set. There are denominations 1, 2, 3 (Huey Dewey Louie), 5 (Pluto), 10 (Donald), 25 (Goofy), 50 (Sleeping Beauty Castle), 75 (Minnie), and 100 (Mickey). They are different in size and also given to hotel guests in a packet when they check in. Happy Hunting! |

artist who worked on classic animated films from Sleeping Beauty through
The Little Mermaid, will be appearing at the Holiday Inn Dayton South
on Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25. 2006.
Tom Tumbusch, President of Tomart Corporation, the publisher of Disneyana Update Magazine and the Pin Trading Guides, is pleased to announce that the 4th annual Dayton Disneyana/Pin Trading by the Pond event. This year's activities will again be hosted by the (Dayton) Plane Crazy Chapter of the NFFC, the club for disneyana enthusiasts. Like last year, Saturday will be primarily devoted to pin trading and games, but Disneyana vendors will be selling pins and collectibles from 11am-5pm with a special early bird admission at 9am. Drawings for prizes will take place every 30 minutes throughout the day. Sunday will be a strictly Disneyana show & sale of pins and other collectibles, scheduled from 10am-3pm, with space set aside for pin trading as available. A limited edition pin for the event will be available to purchase. All events will be held in the ballroom of the Holiday Inn South Dayton, 2455 Dryden Road, Dayton, Ohio 45439, adjacent to Exit 50 of Interstate 75. On Saturday, pin traders will have an opportunity to sign up, in small groups, to trade with a special pin board and meet Tom. Several different pin games will be scheduled throughout the day on Saturday, including last year’s popular white elephant LE pin game. There will also be a children's area like last year with a television for kids to watch Disney movies and cartoons and a coloring contest that will be judged by Ron Dias. Update: A tour of the USAF Museum on Friday afternoon to view a special exhibit of WWII insignias created by Disney for the war effort has been added to the itinerary. Participants will leave from the hotel at 1pm and caravan to the museum. Parking and admission are free. Early bird admission is Saturday at 9am at a cost of $10 and the 1st 50 people will receive a complimentary event pin and goodie bag. Regular admission at 11am Saturday and on Sunday is $5. Attend both days for the same price. Children under 12 are free. NFFC members pay only $4 with valid ID. Parking is free. Vendor tables for Saturday or Sunday remain available at a cost of $45 for one table, additional tables at $20 each. $55 for both days with $20 per additional table.
