Skull Rock The "Remember When?" 2006 Pin Collection celebrates classic Disney Attractions found at the Disneyland® Resort. This Limited Edition Surprise Pin features Captain Hook by Skull Rock. This Fantasyland® Icon was located behind Captain Hook's Pirate Ship. Skull Rock was thirty feet tall and was surrounded by waterfalls. This Icon was removed from Fantasyland® when "New" Fantasyland® opened in 1983. Featured Artist: Disney Design Group Graphic Artist, Mike Wood Date: Saturday, January 21, 2006 Time: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Location: Bonanza Outfitters - Silver Spur, Disneyland® park The pins will be available at Silver Spur Wristbands will be distributed entitling bearers to the opportunity to purchase limited edition pins released in association with the "Featured Artist" product release and signing. Guests wishing to obtain a wristband to purchase the "limited-edition" pins, will not be permitted to wait in line prior to 6:00 a.m. Wristbands for pins will be distributed near the West Esplanade Guest Information Kiosk one hour prior to park opening until one hour past the opening of Disneyland® park. Wristbands will then be available at the location until 12 Noon or while supplies last. In addition, holding a place in line for others in your party will not be allowed. Guests who wish to obtain a wristband to purchase a pin must be present when the line forms or they will be escorted to the back of the line. Wristbands will be valid for the purchase of the pins at the designated merchandise location until 1:00 P.M. on the day of distribution. Wristbands are limited. At 1:00 P.M. any remaining pins will be available for purchase at the designated merchandise location by persons who have not previously purchased the pin(s) on the day of release. Theme park admission required. Lost, stolen or damaged wristbands will not be replaced. Wristbands have no cash value. Restrictions apply. Subject to change without notice. |

Born and raised in Illinois, Mike started his fascination with Disney by watching the Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday night television. The creativity of the stories sparked his interest in art, which became his favorite pastime throughout his childhood. While earning a BA degree in Commercial Graphics and Design, he was
chosen to help open the Disney-MGM Studios by participating in the
Walt Disney World® College Program. After his six-month stay,
Mike returned to Southern Illinois University to complete his degree.
Upon graduation, he returned to Orlando to seek out a creative position
at Disney. He landed a job at Resort Design creating print collateral
for the Disney Resorts. A few years later, opportunities outside of
Disney called and he left but returned to Disney in 1996 and has been
designing for Disney Design Group ever since. In his current roll,
Mike manages a talented group of artists that create merchandise for
all the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. |

. The Japan Disney Store will release pins in this series on the second
and fourth Saturday of the month in January and February 2006 for a
total of 15 pins. The first release comes with a stamp card, which is
filled with the stickers on the back of each backing card. At the end
of the campaign there is a premium gift pin (award podium).
