Tom Tumbusch, President of Tomart Corporation, the publisher of Disneyana Update Magazine and the Pin Trading Guides, is pleased to announce that the 3rd annual Pin Trading by the Pond event will be held in Dayton, Ohio on Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26, 2005. This year's activities will be hosted by the (Dayton) Plane Crazy Chapter of the NFFC, the club for disneyana enthusiasts. Individual sponsorships will be made available as additional details are determined. Like last year, Saturday will be devoted to pin trading and games. Sunday will be a strictly disneyana show & sale of pins and other collectibles. All events will be held in the same spacious 10,000 square foot space in the Town & Country Shopping Center that was used last year, located at the corner of Far Hills Avenue (Ohio S. R. 48) and Stroop Road in south suburban Kettering, Ohio, about five minutes north of Interstate 675 (exit #4). Once again, the official pin trading hotel will be Hampton Inn South (I-675, exit #2), 8099 Old Yankee, 937-436-3700. The tentative group rate is $79 per night and they will provide a complimentary hospitality suite for pin traders if we book enough rooms under the NFFC block. Ask for Emily if you have any questions. On Saturday, pin traders will have an opportunity to sign up, in small groups, to visit the Pond at the home of Tom Tumbusch, to trade with a special pin Board and meet Tom. Several different pin games will be scheduled throughout the day on Saturday, including last year's popular white elephant LE pin game. There will also be a children's area like last year with a television for kids to watch Disney movies and cartoons and a coloring contest that will be judged by Tinker Bell. The NFFC is pleased to announce the appearance of a very special guest on both days of the event: Margaret Kerry, Tinker Bell's model/actress for the Disney film, Peter Pan. JUST ANNOUNCED: The new 5th edition of the Pin Trading Guide will be introduced at Pin Trading by the Pond 2005 and will be available for sale by Tomart. There is no cost to attend pin trading activities, but a $5.00 fee will be charged for the early bird which includes a goodie bag. Parking is free. Vendor tables for Saturday or Sunday remain available at a cost of $35 per table per day which includes two chairs. Tables are available at a discounted price of just $50 each for both days. Happiest Celebration On Earth
Jumbo Pin Castle Window ~ Disneyland® Resort
Created especially for the Happiest Celebration On Earth, this Limited Edition Jumbo Pin was inspired from a window in front of Cinderella Castle. This window, found in the Magic Kingdom® Park, gives Guests a unique view of Disney Theme Parks Castles from around the world. Each pin was designed by Disney Design Group Artist Linda Flynn. This Jumbo Pin celebrates Sleeping Beauty Castle located at the Disneyland® Resort. This Disney Destination opened on July 17, 1955. Member Parking Lot located across the street near McDonald's. Cast Members with valid a Walt Disney World® ID will receive one (1) coupon to purchase the Pluto - 2005 Cast Pin Party pin (Limited Edition 1500 - pictured above).
