| The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Opening 2001 |
| On Wednesday, May 23rd, a limited edition pin for the
new Magic Kingdom attraction, "The Magic Carpets of Aladdin - Opening 2001"
will be released at the Magic Kingdom. This pin is a limited edition of
1000 pins, therefore Pin Vouchers and Queue Vouchers will be used.
Beginning at 8:00 am on Wednesday May 23rd, Pin Vouchers will be handed out at the "Walk Around the World" brick kiosk located just outside the Magic Kingdom. A-Frame signage at the Ticket and Transportation Center, Monorail area and Bus loop will direct guests to that location for them to pick up their voucher. Once all of the Pin Vouchers have been distributed, a small number of individually numbered Queue Vouchers will be distributed. The Pin Vouchers will allow guests to purchase up to two (2) of the limited edition pins, per person on that day only. Guests wishing to purchase these pins will go to the shop, "Agrabah Bazaar", to purchase these pins. The vouchers will expire at 12 noon, so guests must make their purchases by that time. The Queue Vouchers will allow guests to line up in numerical order starting at 12:30 pm at the "Agrabah Bazaar" location. All guests with vouchers should be in line no later than 1:00 pm and they will be placed in the standby queue line by order of their voucher number. Beginning at 1:00 pm, any remaining pins will be made available to guests holding Queue Vouchers. Guests will be allowed to purchase in order of their voucher number while quantities last. All limited edition pin purchase limits apply. This voucher DOES NOT guarantee pins will still be available, however it goes guarantee a spot in the standby queue. At 1:30 pm, the standby queue line will open to all other guests. |

On May 20, 2001, Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride will open
at the Magic Kingdom. There will be a LE Opening
Day Pin released on May 21, 2001 to commemorate the event.
A core pin will be released in the future.
Magical Moments Pins
As part of the Walt Disney
World 100 Years of Magic Celebration, pin
trading stations will sell new
Magical Moments Pins!!
The lights on these "smart" pins
will be activated by specific events, such as
Spectromagic. While watching Spectromagic,
your pin may blink in tandem with the pins
of everyone else in the crowd.
Also, there will be interactive Kiosks
scattered throughout the 4 Parks.
Guests will be able to learn
about Walt Disney's accomplishments
and answer trivia questions.
A correct answer will make you
Magical Moments Pin light up!!

New WDW Guest Service Fanatic Pins

The Guest Service Fanatic 25 pin is available to some, but not
all
Cast Members at WDW, but the
Guest Service Fanatic 50, 75 and 100 pins are only
given out to the Cast Members who work at the Disney-MGM Studios.
They are extremely rare and are only handed out to the
"Cream of the Crop", or those Cast Members that
have consistently gone above and beyond
in the area of Guest/Cast service.
Managers have guest service fanatic cards and when they see
a
CM do "something terrific", the CM is given a card.
When the CM gets 25 cards, they get the first pin.
50 the next, etc.
The Guest Service Fanatic 100 is a
new addition to the program.
